of your time, money, materials, & blessings!

In the ancient India Vedic way of lifestyle, the cow is seen as sacred, as a mother to human society, for she gives milk, a most nutritious and important food for health and the development of higher brain tissues for understanding God.
Similarly the bull is like the father, for he tills the land to produce food grains. According to the ancient sastras of India, the cow and bull are never to be killed or mistreated, and must always be given protection.

The bull is also regarded as the symbol of religion, dharma.

The Vedic Ranch is an inspirtaion from His Divine Grace A.C. Bhakivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acarya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Although the Vedic Ranch & Goshala is a separate and independent spiritual venture, some of its members and organizers are disciples or followers of His Divine Grace, who stressed so much the importance of cow protection and developing goshalas all over the world, for the protection of the cows and bulls. Goshala means a plavce where the cows are protected. The cows are treated as sacred in India because they act as "mother" for the entire human society by supplying milk, which when taken, builds higher brain cells for understanding God. Most temples in India have goshalas in which the milk from such protected cows is used in service of the Deities of the Lord. Goshala ki Jaya!
